Australian director who often directing Hollywood movies has a project again with a film about the Siberian gulag. Peter Weir is not a new name in the Hollywood movie business. Famous thanks to his films that is so typical kinds of ‘Dead Poets Society’ (1989), ‘The Truman Show’ (1998) and ‘Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World’, Peter Weir may be the most appropriate director for scenario ‘The Way Back’ is derived from Slavomir Rawicz memoir entitled ‘The Long Walk: The True Story of a Trek to Freedom’ which is very popular in Europe when it was published in 1956.

Although the original story based on the story of a Polish, Peter Weir uses Hollywood actors, such as Jim Sturgess, Colin Farrell, Ed Harris and Saoirse Ronan. Fortunately, Weir does not attempt to make the story into Hollywood. As a result, the film is able to describe the atrocities of the Communist regime of Russia (Stalin) and winter the Siberian gulag, as well as a human struggle to gain freedom.

The story of the film itself is reminiscent of Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn’s novel, ‘The Gulag Archipelago’ and ‘One Day of the Life of Ivan Denisovich’. Six people plus one female prisoner of the Communist regime of Russia on foot along the 4000 miles from Siberia are malignant, through Mongolia, Tibet, Gobi Desert, China up to India to escape from forced labor and imprisonment of Stalin’s regime. Some kind of dinosaur that can fly like a plane flying pterosaurs is named, is believed by some scientists, able to fly up to 10,000 miles relentless.

According to new research as gained from the Telegraph, the giant creature had a wingspan of more than 30 feet, which is used to release hot air and wind currents in conducting long-haul flights. “Probably they’re just flapping their wings for a few minutes at the same time, and then they will enable their muscles. As a distraction, they would occasionally glide without the need for power,” said Michael Habib, a paleontologist from Catham University, Pittsburg, USA. Efforts are needed to fly to spend large amounts of energy. That means, every pterosaurs will burn the fat reserves of around 72 kg per trip flight. Pterosaurs dominated the skies between the Jurassic and Cretaceous period 65 million years ago. They include four-legged animal with a wing membrane stretched between the front and rear legs.

Type of the largest pterosaur weighed about 400 pounds, and including the largest flying animals ever. They can survive on Earth for 150 years. New research is quite amazing is capable of flying pterosaurs traveling across different continents. The team of scientists knows about the behavior of these pterosaurs; based from what it is currently known from the body, fat, and shape their wings. They’re also doing new research on how pterosaurs fly, regardless of the previous theory based on the behavior of the biggest albatross – or better known as the Albatross. Previous research has shown, that pterosaurs could not even fly, because it is too big in landing. Instead, the team said Habib, the giant pterosaurs may have launched themselves into the air by using four of his limbs.

“The atmosphere is thicker above the surface of the Earth, during the Cretaceous era. When pterosaurs lived at the time, the possibility of these animals makes it easy to fly,” said the researchers. Habib to National Geographic also said that ‘unsteady dynamics’ – the means to move the bird in the air – so too will make it easier for the flying pterosaurs. “If the giant pterosaurs to fly very far, it means it can change how scientists think about their opinions,” said Habib assured.
